I'm a FIDE Master since 2018 with over 20 years of competitive experience and a current rating around 2230-2250 FIDE. I've been playing tournaments since 2002 and continue to compete regularly.
Online, I play on Lichess and Chess.com, reaching around 2800 in bullet and 2500 in blitz. Chess has been a constant part of my life, both as a competitive player and as someone who enjoys deeply understanding the game and helping others do the same.
Experienced Coach with a Passion for Teaching
I started teaching chess as a hobby while I was still a high school student in Miami in 2008. Early on, I worked with players of different ages and levels, including teaching chess programs in public libraries in Miami-Dade County, which helped me develop the ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and accessible way.
After moving back to my hometown in Colombia, I became actively involved in my local chess community, helping players of all ages improve their understanding of the game and their tournament results. Over time, I discovered a strong passion for online coaching, which allowed me to work with students from around the world.
Today, I work as an online chess coach, helping dedicated students improve through structured training, personalized feedback, and a clear focus on real-game improvement.

In our training, we will focus on analyzing your own games to identify strengths, recurring mistakes, and areas for improvement. We'll build and strengthen your opening repertoire, focusing on ideas and plans rather than memorization.
We'll work on middle-game strategy and practical decision-making, especially in positions without obvious tactics. We'll improve tactical vision and calculation using systematic training methods that transfer directly to real games.
My goal is to help you gain clarity and confidence at the board, so you always understand what to do, why you're doing it, and how to improve after each game.
